It's Our Anniversary!

This week marks the 10th Anniversary of my wedding day, the day I married my best friend, the man who loves me the way I am, we are kooky, sometimes crazy and on occasion just a bit weird!  We love to embarrass the kids by being loud and funny and singing loud and proud ! but we love the kids and love each other, I love our life together, and I'm not afraid to shout it from the rooftops!
And I have to share with you the card I made him...

I used my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers in these colours:

Skin: FS6, FS2, GB8
Hair-Boy: BG6, EB8, TN1
Hair-Girl: EB5, EB6, TN6, TN4, TN3, TN1...
Boys Clothes- Shirt: BT1, BT3, BG1
Jeans: TB3, BT1
Girls clothes-Skirt: LG1, LG2, LG4, BG4
Top: PP1, CR3, CR5

As I am out of practice a little with my markers I followed a tutorial on the Spectrum Noir Blog on Manga Hair, you will find a link at the bottom of this post,

I love the new papers I got from a craft fair, they are from a company called Pion Designs and the collection are called Paris Flea Market, they also did co-ordinating plain cardstock to match, I am definitely on the look out for more of these.

I hope you are enjoying all my projects this year, I would love to hear your feedback so please leave me a message in the comments block below, and here is that link to the Spectrum Noir Blog Post.

Have a great Day!

Happy Colouring

Love is in the air!!

Its Valentines day tomorrow! Do you have anything romantic planned?
My husband and I don't generally bother with gift exchanges as its our wedding anniversary the following week, and that's the important one, we do however give each other a card!
Of course I can't show you the card I have made him, but I can show you a card I made for this months Spectrum Noir challenge on the Facebook page...

I have used the Spectrum ColourBlend pencils in the following colours:
Skin: Peach, Espresso, Russet, Black
Dress: Pink Blush, Sorbet, Antique Pink, Raspberry
Hair: Black, Espresso, Blackberry, Auburn.
Boots: Black, Maroon

as you can probably tell the theme this month is 'The colours of Love - Use pinks and reds'

I used a selection of different papers to die cut my hearts, I love layering lots of different patterns do you?

I hope you will join the challenge this month the design team love looking through all your work, don't forget there is a prize too.
You can add your entry here!

Happy Valentines day, but more importantly...
Happy Colouring

Morgan Fitzsimmons A Country Life Launch part 2

Me again, just sharing these 3 cards that I made for the launch of the new collection of stamps and CD-Rom from Morgan Fitzsimmons, did you managed to catch the shows with Fiona?

The foxgloves are coloured with my Spectrum Aquamarkers in the following colours: Heather, Purple, Navy, Moss, Sunflower. I stamped onto Sheena's Stamping card and mounted onto Black card all from Crafters Companion.

The Poppies are again coloured with Spectrum Aquamarkers in these shades: Peacock Blue, Scarlet, Crimson, Amber, Sea Green, & Evergreen.  I printed a 6x6" insert from the CD-Rom for the background.

The rose is also coloured with the Spectrum Aquamarkers in the following colours : Peach, Begonia, Orchid, Moss, Sunflower, Olive, Boulder & Navy.

I have tried to keep these cards very simple so that the beauty of the stamped images comes through, I hope you like my samples I certainly enjoyed making them.

Thanks for popping by today,
Happy Colouring
